Mayfield Robotics is the startup behind Kuri, the adorable home robot that won a pile of awards at CES 2017 and that also pinkie-swears not to take over the world and eradicate humanity. We're growing and looking for people to come help us make Kuri even more adorable and awesome.

This role will be a true software generalist role. You will be the person that turns algorithms into code. You are the person that gets it to work, and then make it better.


  • Implement and refine algorithms
  • Help optimize and simplify build process
  • Help turn data into action below and above the point cloud
  • Improve the general quality and capability of our code base


  • 5+ years of C++ in a professional setting (post education)
  • Embedded Linux experience
  • Comfortable working on a device without a screen (ex. Orange Pi)
  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or related field

Nice to Have, but Not Required

  • Have shipped a product
  • Have worked in a startup environment
  • Experience creating algorithms
  • Understanding of real time systems, computer vision, and parallel processing architectures
  • You have been the person in your prior companies that people looked to for solutions for the hardest problems
